1. Only two times in my life have I ever had my hair shorter than my shoulders. Once in kindergarten- it was SHORT- and once in seventh grade. I jut love my long hair, I like to keep my arms warm with it, I like to just let it grow. I have never gotten the Crystal Gale hair I have always wanted (yes, she was my childhood hair idol), but I could pull off the Pentecostal look pretty well... I just need someone to teach me how to make those awesome bouffants... I'm serious.
2. I'm sort of a technophobe.
I have this really bad habit of turning up my nose to new technology. I was terrified of a smart phone, in fact, I didn't want a cell phone for the longest. Then once I got a cell phone, I would not text. I REFUSED to text. Unfortunately, I'm easily broken down, so eventually I give in and use the stuff.
3 TV free since 2009. In December 2009, we turned off our cable, and have been tv free since then. Don't get me wrong, we have Netflix and watch shows online, but having no tv makes it easier for us to be choosey. Now I don't watch tv for hours just because it is there, or because something else comes on that catches my attention. My husband and I watch a total of six television shows a year, the same shows every season that we have been following.
4. I have every single Sims game since Sims 2- and I LOVE them. It might be crazy for a grown woman, mother, homeschool teacher, etc to play video games, but I love playing them! I suppose it is because I can control the outcome of my people's lives. I can keep their toddlers in place, their jobs in order, and their house immaculate!! It's nice to imagine a life like that, isn't it??
5. I sometimes hum myself to sleep. And apparently I snore, too. I prefer the humming, but my husband told me that I was snoring hard core the other night. I still don't believe him. The humming is not like a song or anything, just a gentle monotone hum that helps me fall asleep. I have noticed baby does it too sometimes, which just makes my mommy heart happy :)
*Disclaimer, this lady is NOT me... I wish I had arms that skinny....
