While I've been away, my view of education has been tossed on its head, resulting in a frantic search for more and more information to support my new theories. More on this later.
Today, I thought I would share the amazing videos that my children (*cough*and I*cough*) have used to learn ALL of the books of the Bible, in order, in only a few short weeks. I just typed in something like "cool song to learn Bible books", or some silliness like that, and these videos popped up. Knowing that often "churchy" people consider 1980's style synthesizers as "cool", I was skeptical at first, so I screened them. What I found was that they were fun, energetic, and had a memorable tune and chorus that led to the songs getting stuck in your head on repeat. We would listen to the songs one day a week, a couple times each, and within 5-6 weeks, the kids knew every book in the Bible, in order! It may or may not have taken Mom a few more weeks of practice...
